Privacy policy, in plain English
No legalese marathon. Here's exactly what happens to your data on ricepuritytestportal.com (spoiler: very little).
Last updated: October 1, 2026
The short version
- Your quiz answers are scored in your browser. They're never sent to us or anyone else.
- There are no accounts. No sign-up, no login, no profile, and we don't sell personal data. Ever.
- Your "purity diary" lives only on your own device, and you can wipe it anytime.
- If we add ads later, our ad partners may use cookies. We'll explain that below and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Who we are
This policy covers ricepuritytestportal.com ("we", "us"), an independent entertainment website. It isn't affiliated with Rice University. You can reach us at hello@ricepuritytestportal.com.
Your quiz answers
When you take the Rice Purity Test or any other quiz here, your answers are processed by JavaScript running on your own device. We don't receive them, log them or store them on any server. When you close the page, they're gone, unless you save a score (see below).
Your scores are stored in your own browser (localStorage)
When you calculate a score, the site saves the date and your score number in your browser's localStorage, a small storage area that lives on your device, so you can see your history next time. Nothing is sent to a server: your scores never leave your device, and we can't see them. There are no accounts, so there's nothing linked to your name or email. To delete it, clear this site's data in your browser settings (usually under "Cookies and site data").
Server and security logs
Like every website, our hosting and content-delivery provider automatically processes basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. It isn't used to identify you or build a profile.
Fonts
We load our fonts (Baloo 2 and Nunito) from Google Fonts. That means your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle it.
Analytics
We don't currently run analytics. If we add them, we'll use a privacy-friendly, cookie-free tool that only reports aggregate numbers (like page views), and we'll update this page before we do.
Advertising and cookies
We may show ads in the future through Google AdSense to keep the site free. If and when we do:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
- Where the law requires it (for example, in the UK and European Economic Area), we'll ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your mind anytime.

Contacting us
If you email us or use our contact form (which just opens your own email app), we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and we delete old conversations we no longer need.
Children and teens
This site is meant for a general audience. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Because quiz answers never leave your device, we don't collect them from anyone at all. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information (for example, by email), contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Since we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are quick. Just email hello@ricepuritytestportal.com.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites (like social networks when you share a result). Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies too.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes (like switching on ads) will be reflected here before they happen.
